HenryPalooza

HenryPalooza which I had spoken about before here. Is having their first event this Saturday! Please plan on going to this event to help the Claybrook's bring their son, Henry home!

We are going to be at a wedding this weekend on the Outerbanks so unfornately we are going to miss the event this Saturday! Please go in our place and support this family in bringing their beautiful boy home. We will be at the concert on October 3 and hope you all start planning to go to that event also. The concert is going to be awesome so make sure you go the website and purchase your tickets now. If you all would like to carpool with us just let me know. We would be happy to all go together!

Also check out Jonathan Bow's (postor at Crosspointe) website he really explains well all of the upcoming events and where they are.

James Look-alike Meter

Contrary to popular belief, Isaac doesn't just look like Stephen. He's equally both of us which was a surprise to me. I definitely see Stephen in Isaac, I also see me but other people don't agree.

Picture Post, Prayer and Praise

We have been going to the playground more frequently now that Isaac is walking. We always ride our bikes and Isaac rides in the bike trailer with the helmet he got for his birthday! Haha doesn't he look so cute! He actually doesn't mind it which is a blessing! He has so much fun walking all over the playground! He'll even climb(with help)the stairs and then go through the tube to the big slide all by himself, he's getting so big!

Prayer:
-Please continue to pray for the country of Haiti! With all the devastating storms there has been extreme flooding. Unfortunately they do not have people to come to their rescue like we do in the US, so they have to find a way to help themselves! Pray for them as there was already a food shortage in Haiti and now the flooding has caused even worse food shortage. Many people also lost their homes and their lives. Please pray.
-Please also continue to pray for Robbie and Candice, it has been a difficult month. Also pray for all the other troops. One of my favorite customers from the bakery was just sent, please pray for his safety and for his family while he is away.
-Please pray that God continues to guide us in regards to buying a house and selling ours.
-Safe travel for my Grandpa and Uncle as they fly here for a visit on Thursday. That we have a great time as a family...life is short, we can't take anytime for granted!
Praise:
-Haitian Children's Home was spared significant damage during the storms and everyone is safe.
-People are still showing interest in our house and we are still having showings on a regular basis.
-God is always good and faithful to us!
-My Grandpa and my Uncle Bill are coming for a visit. They fly in on Thursday and are staying till the first of October. I am really excited about the opportunity to see him again this summer. I felt like our trip to PA was too short!

Oh, My God Shine Your Light on Us - Repost

Reposted from another blog Life and Times of the Mangine Five-
Oh, my God

Shine your light on us

that we might live

Oh, My God

Shine your light on us

that we might live

I've been holding on

I've been holding on

All that is inside me
Screams to come back home

If you feel lost

If you feel lost

Sing Along
If you feel tired
If you feel tired
Sing Along

If you feel lost and tired

This is your song

I've been broken down

I've been broken down

I ain't giving up

Love will come back around

Shine your light

Shine it down

Let Your rescue come for us

We long to love

HenryPalooza

The Claybrook Family
Hey guys here's the information I mentioned in a previous post! Just to recap, the worship leader Stephen Claybrook and his wife C.C. and their daughter Darby, from our church Crosspointe are adopting a little boy, Henry from China. The adoption process has moved quicker then they were planning, instead of years they've had months to raise enough money to bring Henry home. So friends and family came up with the idea for HenryPalooza an event to help raise money to bring their son home. You can go to http://www.henrypalooza.com/ for more information and ways that you can help. You can also see a picture of Henry on the site along with a message from Stephen!
But here's a little information:

~On September 27th there is a HenryPalooza Family Fun Day (information on site, along with location and time)

~On October 4th there is a concert with Mindy Smith and Chris Rosser at Crosspointe. You will also be able to purchase coffee and Stick Boy Bread Company Baked Goods. You can purchase tickets for this event online.

~If you would like to volunteer to help at one of the events there is information about that on the website.

~You can also donate products, money, your time for an event, etc. again click on the how can I help link of the website

~There will also be a silent auction, the link is still getting some kinks out on the site so keep checking back

If you have any questions and would like any other information you can click the link on the website or ask me and I will find out for you

Please also if you would spread the word and invite as many people as you know to these events. We have only three weeks to get the word out to as many people as possible. This is going to be a grassroots kind of a thing, so your help is greatly appreciated! You are helping the Claybrook's bring their SON home!!

Also please check the post below and leave a message for Candice, thanks!

Prayer for our troops, one in particular

Hey guys,

I just wanted to ask again that you continue to pray for our dear friends Candice and Robbie! I can not fathom the idea of each day they face! Please pray for all of our troops overseas and for their families that wait for their home coming! Pray that Robbie feels God's protection for him and that he feels guided to safety whenever needed! Pray that He feels God beside him everyday through everything he is facing! Pray for a safe return home! Pray that the peace that surpasses all understanding washes over Candice each new day! Pray that she feels God's loving arms around her and the safety that they bring!

I know their are people who read this who never post! If you could just post that you are praying and thinking of them I know it would be a huge encouragement to them both!

If you want some information about them I posted about Unkie Robbie back in May, you can check my archives for that or just click this link.

Haiti needs prayer

Leann posted this today and I wanted to share.

"Please Continue to Pray...
With Hurricane Ike now a Cat 4 Hurricane, I cannot express into words how much I need you to pray that this hurricane does not hit Haiti. Personally, Jacmel area is horribly flooding with so much damage. I've read blogs of other missionaries in the North Haiti. Gonvaive is a lake again, the whole city. Several key bridges that connect North Haiti to the rest of the country are being swept away down it's rivers. Millions of people could be isolated from their main food source (most food is imported into the country thru the capitol). As I travel around my little section of Haiti, I am overwhelmed. Food is already expensive and hard to get in many areas. Now most of the crops are gone, I cannot imagine what the rest of the hurricane season will bring. Please continue praying for us thru the weekend and into next week. Thank you."

Also if you want to see how they have been doing she has posted pictures of the destruction in Haiti already.

House

Sorry to leave you all wondering, but we're in the same boat. We haven't heard a word, not one. Still praying...

Showing

Update:
The people who looked at our house at 10:30 loved it and decided to come back for a second showing at 1:15. They haven't made an offer yet but had some really great feed back and asked for some paper work. Katie said it's a great sign because they need this paper work to make an offer. We continuing to pray that this is the buyer for our house! Please pray with us!

If you're reading this please pray that our house sells today. We have a showing at 10:30 and are just praying that this is the buyer for our house!

Thanks!
