Unloading

Wanted to let you all know that Robbie's home. He got home Monday night, thankfully before the snow came on Tuesday! Thanks for the prayers. We're all so happy he's home.

Things are going well for us! Isaac was supposed to have his 18 month well visit on Tuesday but it was canceled because of the snow. I called today to reschedule and we go next Wednesday! I can't wait to see how big he's gotten since our last visit.

For everyone in the area there is a Kids Exchange this weekend at the NC Fair Grounds. It's a great way to get second hand baby/kid clothes, toys and baby stuff. It's on Friday and Saturday and then on Sunday everything will be 50% off. It will be a great way to save some money if there are items you need!

Sunday afternoon I am finally getting my hair cut. I have not had it cut since May(which I am embarrassed to say)so I am super excited! There is a cut-a-thon going on at Blo to benefit the Arc of Wake County which works with and for people with developmental disabilities. So it's a great reason to finally get my hair cut and have the money go to a great cause. Check out their website and book an appointment for this weekend! Apparently it's a pretty upscale salon but this weekend you just need to donate $35 to get a hair cut! Can't pass that up!

I guess that's about it for now. I have more news that I'll wait to share another time! I hope you all are doing well and are truly aware everyday of the blessings God gives! I know that there is a lot going on with the economy but one thing that God has shown Stephen and I this year is that if we trust Him with our finances He will provide for our needs. It's truly amazing to see God's provision! He is a good God!

Picture Post

So I'm finally posting the few pictures I took on Christmas and some pictures I took today. Isaac moves so much it's pretty hard to get pictures!

It snowed today here in NC. I would say we have about 6 inches in the backyard. It came up to Isaac's knees so he had some trouble walking in the snow. The bakery closed early today because of the weather so Stephen was able to come home and play with us outside in the snow. Isaac didn't want to come inside because he was having so much fun. His face got cold pretty fast so I ended up putting a scarf around him. I asked him if that was ok and he said "yes". He's communicating a lot lately and is so much fun! He has such a personality and keeps us laughing with his sense of humor! He is always a big ham!

Isaac trying to throw snow at me like daddy was!

He's Safe

Give Glory to God! This morning when I got to church I was met in the parking lot by Candice. I'm sure many of you who have been reading for a while have read about our good friends Candice and Robbie(or Unkie Robbie for Isaac). We call Stephen and Robbie BFF's because when Robby is home they are always talking about hanging out or hanging out. Robby has been stationed in Afghanistan since May. We(obviously, especially Candice) have all been anxious for Robbie to come home. He was supposed to be home earlier this week but his flight kept getting canceled because of weather. Who knew it snowed in Afghan.!? Anyways, he is finally safe and in Germany! Praise God for his constant protection on our wonderful friend! Psalm 7:17 "I will give thanks for the Lord, because of His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High". Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good his love endures forever." All through church I thanked God for bringing Robbie through the past 8 months and the protection he put over him! Although he isn't completely home yet, he's safe! Praise God! Please join with me in praising God for bringing Robbie out of there and that he's almost home!

I know, I know...

it's been forever. Almost a month. I just haven't felt much like blogging. There is a lot to share but I'm still not in the mood to write. I just haven't felt like unloading everything yet. Not that it's bad stuff just not up to writing. I will soon, I promise. So all you two people dying for an update one should be here, hopefully with lots of great news.

Be praying for our friend Robby, overseas with the military! I will fill you in, hopefully I will be able to tomorrow. Thanks for just praying without details. Please pray without ceasing! Thanks again!
