Some of you may not know this about me but I love photography. I have loved it since high school and actually had plans of going to college for photography, unfortunately it never worked out. That's a story for another day. Anyways, we have been praying and trying to find ways that I can bring a little extra income home while still being home with the boys. God put photography on my heart as a way to do it and little did I know He was whispering to Stephen as well. Stephen had decided to get me a new camera for my birthday. After he had already bought it I told him about "my" idea. To open an etsy shop and see if I could sell some prints. I had not idea about the camera and told Stephen I wasn't sure it was possible, with the camera we had but it was worth a try.
Stephen decided to give me my present a few days before my birthday. It was just the four of us on my parents back porch. Stephen brought out my present wrapped in his normal wrapping paper, a beach towel. haha! When he gave it to me he said, "I love you and I know that you can do anything you put your mind to". I opened the towel and saw the camera, I started to cry.
So this begins my journey. My journey towards a dream that was breathed into me in high school, a dream that I thought had passed me by. I may not be the best photographer but I have a passion for it, that has to count for something. So check out my shop, tell me what you think, but be kind, remember it's someone's dream you are critiquing.
