We moved into our house this past weekend and are settling in quite nicely. We've already got our tree up and our Christmas decorations out! The boys rooms, kitchen and living room are all unpacked and being enjoyed. Our room looks like a tornado hit it but we've decided we're ok with that, it's time to focus on Christmas and all that we've been blessed with! It's so amazing to just look around and see the gift that this house is. I pray we never take for granted what we have, what we've been blessed with! Not just in our home, but in the process that brought us here.
The boys are loving all the toys that they had forgotten about and the space that our new home allows them to explore. They love being here but Isaac, especially, is missing being with his Nye and Papa (grandma and grandpa) all the time. He's already making plans for when he can go stay the night. :) We can not say or ever show how truly thankful we are to my parents for the past 17 months. No one imagined that 6 months would turn into 17 and they handled it with such grace. They showed an example of what it means to give unselfishly. Yes, I am their daughter but they let us stay without question and put up with A LOT of crazy in the mean time! Mom and Dad, Stephen and I love you both and are so very thankful for what you've given to our family! Without you, this, our home would not have been possible! Thank you!
We truly can see God's hand in this entire story of our house being built. Our builder sticking it out, finding an investor, working tirelessly after MANY setbacks. He was determined to finish our house for us and he did just that. He stuck in out and when many builders would have walked away and with good reason, he kept his word. We know that we have a home that he put his whole heart into. A home that has lots of little touches that he put in just because he wanted to. You can say that he owed it to us, but he didn't. He owes and owed us nothing, why is my life or needs greater then his. It isn't and in times like these when builders are losing everything, he gave more.
We are so very thankful that God held us and walked with us through this process. We could not have handled all that was put in our path without Him. He provided amazing friends for us that when we lost hope, they were there to encourage us and speak wisdom to us. He gave us the faith we needed press on.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours. Take time to thank God for the amazing gift that He gave us so long ago in the manger and thank Him that the story doesn't end there!

Congratulations! What a year+! I imagine it's a much more loved house on account of the trials! Can't wait to see it!
Dear Charissa & Stephen, Isaac & Eli,
Over the past months we have had the blessing of watching your family grow (physically and
spiritually). We have also been blessed to see the faith, patience, and resolve that God has given
to you. We will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives—of course, it was a stretching time;
however, God provided all of us the patience needed and I’m so thankful that we all realize that
HE provided us the opportunity.
We pray for continued blessings for your new home and family.
We love you ALL so dearly,
Mom & Dad (Nye & Papa)
